It is with profound sadness that we as a practice announce the passing of our senior partner, Dr Ramchandran, on Saturday, the 15th of June 2024. As you may be aware, Dr Ramchandran had recently been on sick leave, but this news must be a great shock to you all, as it has been to us.

Dr Ramchandran had been here at College Street since 2007, prior to the merger of Highfields Medical Practice and Charlton House Surgery. Dr Ramchandran was very dedicated to the practice and served our community with exceptional care and compassion.

Throughout his career, Dr Ramchandran touched the lives of countless patients and their families, always striving to provide the highest standard of medical care. His commitment to the well-being of his patients and his contributions to the practice have left an indelible mark on all of us.

Dr Ramchandran was also heavily involved in the medical education of future GPs and the ongoing appraisals for current practicing GPs. His impact on the local medical community leaves a lasting testament to the person he was.

To our patients, we understand that this news may be upsetting. We want to assure you that our practice will continue to provide the same level of care and support that you have come to trust. If you have any concerns or need to speak with someone, please do not hesitate to contact us.

There will be a condolence book here at the surgery and we will pass on any expressions of goodwill to his family. We extend our deepest condolences to Dr Ramchandran’s family and friends during this difficult time. Our thoughts are with them as they navigate this profound loss.

Dr Ramchandran will be deeply missed by all of us here at College Street and by the many patients and colleagues whose lives he touched. We will continue to honour his legacy through our commitment to the practice going forward.
